On Christmas Eve, the miser Ebenezer Scrooge is visited first by the chained ghost of his old partner Jacob Marley, dead seven years that very night, who warns him that three spirits will follow. The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge his own forgotten warmth; the Ghost of Christmas Present shows him the Cratchit family and Tiny Tim; the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows him his own unmourned death. Scrooge wakes on Christmas morning a changed man and sends a turkey to the Cratchits.
