Twin Peaks (1990)

On the morning of February 24, 1989, Pete Martell goes fishing at the edge of Black Lake and finds the body of Laura Palmer wrapped in plastic on the shore. Sheriff Harry S. Truman calls the FBI, which sends Special Agent Dale Cooper to the town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Cooper dictates notes into a recorder addressed to a woman named Diane. The investigation into who killed Laura Palmer — and what is wrong with this town — has begun.
