On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1929, Chicago musicians Joe and Jerry witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre — seven members of Bugs Moran's gang machine-gunned in a garage by men in police uniforms working for Al Capone. Joe and Jerry are seen. Needing to disappear immediately, they take the only job available: joining an all-girl band bound for Miami. They board the train dressed as Josephine and Daphne. Nobody's perfect.
