On St. Patrick's Day, wrongly convicted surgeon Richard Kimble — escaped from a prison bus crash and hiding in Chicago — dons a parade marshal's jacket and slips into the city's St. Patrick's Day festivities as U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard's team closes in. The parade provides brief cover: a one-armed fugitive in a river of green, recognized in an instant by the marshal who has never stopped hunting him.
