On November 12, 1955, a bolt of lightning is scheduled to strike the Hill Valley clock tower at precisely 10:04 PM — Marty McFly's only chance to generate the 1.21 gigawatts needed to send the DeLorean back to 1985. Doc Brown rigs a cable between the tower and the street; Marty has one pass at the wire, in the rain, with the clock already ticking.
